This is a proven winner. Here is a Nova that is proven on the strip, proven on the street and proven at the show.
This was my first fast drag car. We took it on trade about five years ago. It needed an engine overhaul. We had it professionally done. The mill is a 1970 date coded LS6 that is now .070 over. The heads have been worked and the cam is big. It has big tube headers, a Strip Dominator intake and a big Barry Grant carb. The trans is a built THM400 and the differential is a 12 bolt with 4:11 gears and a spool.
In addition, we installed a new high volume electric water pump and two high capacity cooling fans. Of course there is a fuel cell and a high dollar pumping system. The car is all set up and is legal to 10.50. There is a roll cage and a safety harness.
This car is very consistant at 11:30 in the quarter. It will dip into the 11:20's. I participated in the 2007 Hot Rod Drag Week and took home third place in the Big Block class.
The car is fully street legal. It went through a NSRA inspection before Drag Week and passed easily. It can be driven on the street without concern. We drove 1200 miles while on Drag Week. It performed flawlessly.
The interior is very stock appearing. The seats are correct black buckets and the rest sure looks nice and vintage correct. The radio and heater are deleted. Auxilliary gauges and 5 inch tachometer monitor the engine. A B+M Quicksilver shifter with reverse pattern controls the transmission. The back seat is original. Viewed: 1318 times.

We sold the car a year ago. It was hard to do, but times are tough. The gentleman that bought it showed it twice, taking home first in his class both times. This is a good looking car.
The body is super solid and shows no body work or bubbles. It has never been rusted. The paint is nice and shines well. The engine is nicely detailed and the underbody is attractive.
Our customer has bought many cars from us. This car is more than he bargained for. Truthfully, it scared him. He asked for the opportunity to trade it. We found him something more sedate and were happy to have the Nova back in our stable of go-fast cars.
It is a pleasure to have a car with history. This car has been raced at Great Lakes Dragaway since the early 70's. It has been in Hot Rod magazine and on their website numerous times.
I was tickled to get it back. It was like hooking up with an old friend. It is great to have a friend that is always there for you, never lets you down, makes you look good and is a real winner. I was sad to see the Nova in somebody else's garage, but now I am happy it is in mine.
