The original look is what drew me to this car. Yes, they make great customs, but some of us prefer, and appreciate, originality.
The restoration it to a very correct and original standard. Other than the accessory visor, wing window wind deflectors and fender skirts, this car appears as original as if it were.
It actually underwent a frame-off restoration. Perhaps it was twenty years ago? The paint is nice, but it shows a few signs of use. There are some touchups of stone chips and wear. But the rest of the vehicle looks phenominal.
The chrome is absolutely stunning. The interior is very inviting and in fabulous condition. The tires are correct Firestone bias ply wide whites. They aren't Coker reproductions.
The bottom side of the car is lovely. The frame was freshened up, the floors finished and new rubber bushings installed. All this happened on what looks to have been a perfectly solid car to begin with. Viewed: 222 times.

The engine bay is very correct. It isn't fresh, but still looks nice. We don't see anything altered or amiss.
The performance is as good as the appearance. The engine starts with ease and has good power. The clutch and transmission work well together. The overdrive performs as it should. The steering and brakes operate as they should. All lights, gauges and features work properly. The only exception is the radio.
You can't help but appreciate the interior. The materials, colors and style are right on. It is not showing flaws, stains or wear.
The restoration was done right. It may have been a few years ago, but the quality is evident. This car is a great driver that will attract attention wherever it goes. Especially from those who appreciate an original appearing Mercury. Viewed: 155 times.
